The film joker which started in 2016 and became firm in 2017 after Warner Bros. Warner Bros the distributor the most anticipated movie of the season describes the movie as “an exploration of a man disregarded by society that is not only a gritty character study but a broader cautionary tale.”
Production Snippet
Todds Phillips took a decision to produce, direct and co-write the script which was inspired by Martin Scorsese’s films. Scorsese was attached to produce early in the production, but left due to other obligations. Phoenix became attached to the project in February 2018 and was cast July that same year.
The photography began in September 2018 taking place in New York, Jersey City and Newark and concluded December 2018.
The movie will be premier at the 76th Venice International Festival on August 31, 2019 and will be available on theater on October 4th U.S and 3 respectively.
Box office analyst expect the movie to gross US$60 – 90 million during its opening weekend.
